Our Thanks to You

We would like to thank our military, both past and present,

who have sacrificed for freedom where ever they were sent.

You've given up your lives and dreams so we can sit at home.

You've been stuck in desert or jungle but we were free to roam.

Our colors have been carried with pride by all who dared.

You gave your all for freedom.  You felt it should be shared.

Thanks to every one of you, the world is a better place.

We've not always stood by you, that's a national disgrace.

When Jane and others let you down as you were standing tall,

you continued to hold our colors high, you never let them fall.

It's easy to shout and say, "Let's have peace right now!"

The hard part of the battle is the fight to show us how.

We owe so much to each of you who serve, present or past.

You gave it all you had to give to insure that it might last.

Those who gave their lives for us must be remembered forever.

We hold sacrifices close at heart and will forget you never!
