Happy New Year!!!!

Yea!! 2012 has finally arrived.  Ok, seriously I wasn't counting down the days but I always get excited for a fresh new start at the beginning of the year.  I like to set goals and plan for the year.  I feel grateful for my life, health and the wonderful family that I have.  Let me give you an update on our family and what's been happening with us since around August.  I believe that is when I kind of stopped working on our blog.

In August my sister Wendy turned the BIG 40!!  I was very excited to make a trip our to Georgia to visit her.  Yes, I left the kids home with Ryan.  I spent 10 days visiting family and friends. Then Wendy, myself and our aunts Kelly and Sally went to Savannah, Georgia for 5 days.  We had wonderful times making memories and having fun.

When I got back home life went on as it had done before I left, except for Adrian starting 1st grade.  Kayla started preschool.  Adrian is doing great in school.  Kayla is blossoming with her learning abilities.  October came into with many changes for our family.  I began to look for a job and soon found myself working for an office.  State Farm Insurance.  I really enjoy it.  I work with 4 wonderful women.  I work part-time and enjoy getting out of the house.

The same week I was offered a job,  we were picked by a birthmother to adopt her baby.  We were excited.  It was a boy.  The kids were excited.  I bought big brother and big sister t-shirts for them.  They asked me a million questions and told everyone that they were getting a baby brother.

The call came in Dec. 16th at 6:30pm.  Our caseworker called and said that they had finally heard from our birthmother.  She had decided to keep the baby.  I won't go into details to what all took place around here except the kids handled it better than I thought.  We immediately put our adoption profile back online.  We aren't giving up on our hopes and dreams of having a bigger family.  I told the kids there is a birthmother for us and she will bless us with a baby sister or brother.

Now, we back to living life again.  I believe that everything happens for a reason.  Sometimes we don't understand or know that real reason why life happens but as I told the kids.  When we fall down we have to get back up and start again.  I am thankful for the trials I have been given.  It's not always been easy but who I am, what i have become and who will I be is all worth the journey.  So with that I hope ya'll have a Wonderful New Year.

We love and miss you very much!!
Ryan, Sandy, Adrian and Kayla

Ps.  Our 1st computer (that has all my pictures on it) has the Internet out.  I have to wait for Ryan to fix it, which might take awhile.  I will post pictures to the blog as soon as it's back up and running. :)
