My Georgia Trip--the wedding

this was why I went to Georgia. To see my cousin FINALLY get married to Melinda.  Let me share you a few highlights while in church before, during and after the wedding.  Sitting on the cousins row. We were selfish and told Kris's friends we were saving the row for cousins. Licia and I were planning Pat's wedding. We thought Vegas would be a great place for a wedding. **we gotta go see blue man group when they decide to get married. ;)*** It was awesome watching Melinda's family sing for Kris and Melinda. Now if you have never been to the south, well they rock out in church. They had a full band going and it was beautiful. It brought back memories of me going to church with GG.  this is one of the many reason i love good southern churches, it's their music. lastly, as Kris stood waiting for his lovely bride to walk down the isle, we just had to "peace Kris out." I don't know who thought it was funnier us, Kris or the preacher? ok, seriously......I love you Kris and Melinda.  It was a lot of fun. I am thankful I was there to share your special day.  You both are wonderful people. Keep God first in your lives and marriage.  Enjoy this new life your building together.

I always take pictures of my food because in about 15 minutes it will be all gone.  The food was delicious. especially my martini.....well, until they cut the cake. Oh yea.....the sushi.....the best ever!!!

Aunt MaryAnn made the cake.  She makes the best tasting cakes ever. Wonder if she delivers?

In the south, the groom gets his cake.  this cake was awesome because  Rick made it out of BROWNIES!!

A Little Cuz Moment......gosh I miss this man!!  Highlights from the wedding reception.......one, sitting at the table with family. sharing memories of GG.  two, watching a slide show of pictures from their past and present days.  hearing someone yell out "look at that picture...quick...darn it's gone....maybe it will come around again later." we laughed a lot over the photos. three....visiting with family and meeting new "friends."  Dancing, eating sushi, watching fireworks and getting home at 3:30am.  I love you Kris and Melinda.

I like to take pictures of my food because I know in a matter of minutes it will be gone.  I go small so I can go for 2nd and sometimes 3rd. This wasn't all the food that Rick had cook for us.  We had artichokes, cheese, cracker and fruit tray, pasta salad, squash, rice, egg plant, beef ribblet, shrimp, corn, watermelon and the groomsman cake.   I loved knowing I was going to enjoy some good southern cooking from Uncle Rick. I have missed out on his and Kris's cooking holidays.  i was thankful to be apart of this day with them. I was a wonder ending to a fabulous vacation.  I look forward to visiting my family again.  I miss and love you very much!!
