I enjoy having my children home for the summer. Since school has been out we have been on the go for the past month or so. Enjoy this quick list of our fun adventures. Pictures will soon follow. Here we go.
May 27th and 28th--we made a quick trip to Portland, Oregon. A replacement to my wrecked van. (can't wait for you to see the replacement! Pics will be posted soon.)
June 1st--last day of school. We know have a 2nd grader.
June 4th through the 12th--My vacation to Georgia. My list of to do's: attend my cuz's wedding (it was awesome!!), go to Stone Mountain and watch the laser show, meet up with my sisters and do something fun, go to Helen, Georgia and eat as much food as I could get my hands on. The full detail story will come later.
June 13th--Happy Birthday Grandma Phillips. We love you. Unpack, wash clothes, repack.
June 14th and 15th--Drive to Idaho Falls to attend my nieces wedding on the 15th. Friday the 15th was Andrea and Taylor's wedding, a luncheon at the Stockman's restaurant then a trip to Craters of the moon. Cave exploring in old lava rocks was fun, especially with Rulon and Beth's family! Adrian cut his head climbing out of the cave.
June 16--Reception for Taylor and Andrea. I helped decorate. It was beautiful. Kayla hurt her foot. It was swollen and started bruising. Ryan and I decided to wait til Sunday before we took her in to the doctor's.
June 17 and 18th--Carper family reunion in LaGrande, Oregon. Ryan, Adrian and Grandma Phillips went. Kayla and I stayed home. Her foot was doing better but still a little swollen. Ryan, Adrian and Grandma returned on the 18th.
June 19th--Breakfast with Grandpa Mel. Then Ryan, Adrian and Mel took Polaris 4 wheelers out for a drive. Looks like they had a blast. Especially when Adrian shares his story. :) Thanks Grandpa Mel. We love you!
June 20th--I watched a friends son, Timmy. The kids had fun playing all day with him.
June 22nd to 23rd--Ward Campout at Givens hot springs. The best part was warm toilets!! :) Campfires, kids playing, desserts, swimming, snow cones and good friends was wonderful.
June 25th--Big A's 7th birthday!! Happy Birthday son. We started the morning off with pancakes. Then we loaded our bicycles up and went for a BMX adventure. It was fun biking on the tracks until my bike went one way and I went the other. I heard a pop and went down. (7 days later doc says it might be a pulled cartilage. I am praying it's not. I have been wearing a nice black boot.) So.....while I was at home resting my ankle. Ryan took Adrian bowling. For his birthday he wanted a Hamburger cake. I made the cakes in the morning. What a blessing that was. Ryan decorated his cake then we opened presents.
June 30th---Breakfast with Adrian's birth mom. She is sweet, kind and a wonderful woman. She bought him a new pair of tennis shoes for his birthday. He thinks he is the fastest kid in town. It was a lot of fun.
July 4th---stayed home and shot fire works off in the evening.
There you go......you have been updated. Can't wait for you to see the pictures. stay tuned!
