Happy Birthday Adrian

Simple, simple, simple....this is how I wanted to see Adrian's birthday go. He woke up this morning and walked pass his presents. He just wanted to play (he is not a morning child). After awhile he said "Woooo Weee, look at that," pointing to his gifts. He picked one up and started to open it. I told him he couldn't open them until dad was awake. Soon he was a man on a mission to wake up dad, so he could open his gifts.

Ryan was up and Adrian knew what to do. He was so into the unwrapping. It was nice this year because we did the gifts without any relatives around. He didn't seem as overwhelmed this year as he had done in the past. Adrian got a handful or two of "cars" from the Cars movie. I made him an ABC book (see pictures below). Dad bought him some sand for his sandbox. Nonnie and Granddad sent him some money to put towards his mission (thank you). Grandma Phillips gave him $5.00 (thank you).

I had a lunch date with Charlotte and my neighbor ladies. Ryan and Adrian headed to Cabela's to shop and look around. Soon after, the 3 of us met back up at our house. Our plan was to have some fun as a family. We decided to head to pojo's (an arcade with a merry go round, bumper cars and kids games) to play for awhile. An affordable thing to do with a 3 year old. Adrian had a ball as well as his parents (see below for the fun pictures---and the battle of the sexes contest). It didn't take Adrian long to fall asleep in the car!

The evening was to go simple also. Eating ice cream and cupcakes. Grandma Phillips was over here visiting. Ryan told her to stay, have dinner and celebrate with us. Then Brian showed up....of course, we fed him, and he stayed to celebrate. Elaine and Kristana (Adrain's cousin) came over to celebrate Adrian's birthday. We had ice cream cones and cupcakes. Kristana and Adrian were cute eating, laughing and talking in their own language.

So enjoy the pictures down below. We enjoyed his special day! We are blessed to have him in our life. We love you Adrian.....Happy Birthday!
