It's Monday and Ryan's out of town for a few days. I am home alone with the kids. I decide to use today as a much needed grocery run. Albies (Albertson) is have double coupons, Freddies (Fred Meyer) had some things on sale, Costco for some formula and other quick errands. We went and stayed busy all day. Later in the afternoon I debated, go to Costco now or go home and let the kids play then go to Costco in the evening? I decided to go to Costco now.
I drive into the parking lot. Adrian has woken from a 3 minute nap. He is pissed because I left his strawberry milk at home (he was asleep, so I put it in the frig to keep it cold). Right away I am having this discussion with him and figuring out is this really worth it. I was totally out of formula, so I didn't have a choice. I begin to give Adrian some choices to think about before we go in.
I unbuckle Kayla and get her out of the car seat. My hand goes to her butt and I get a hand full of POOP! I was like eeewwww.....and yes, Adrian is still throwing a fit. I move Kayla to get a better hold on her and poop goes from my finger tips to my elbows. I am sweating.....just keep it off my shirt and clothes. I pull out the changing pad and realize, I DON"T HAVE MY VAN....I had Ryan's car. So, do I change her on the concrete (eeewww, NO) or on the front seat? No, I couldn't take her in Costco because it was EVERYWHERE....keep reading.
While Adrian is running around still arguing with me I laid the changing pad down. Then as I laid Kayla down poop went on the seat belt strap and onto the changing pad. I open the wipes and find 5 wipes.....5!!! DANG IT!!! I was like holy crap this is not going to be enough. While I am trying to clean myself up first, Kayla has found a ton of papers on the car seat. So, she is eating them, grabbing her "girl parts", I am trying to clean myself up while I was taking things away. She got poop on her hands, I ran out of wipes and had to find the paper napkins from lunch. Thank you McD's (McDonalds)!! I then think I am done and she has poop all over her, hands and from her butt to her toes. At this point I am trying to hold my cookies together....I felt like I was going to hurl. The stink was so bad. Finally I am cleaned up and so is Kayla. I go to find a diaper and there isn't one! Drat! I find one of Adrian's pullups and put it on her. To add to this glorious moment, there was a lady sitting in her car on her cell phone watching me the whole time.
We head to the restroom first. Kayla gets a quick bath in the sink. I wash my hands and arms then we head into do some shopping! Quick shopping.

Haha I can totally relate....now you can laugh....this was what my summer was last year when Josh was gone for 5 months. And I would call him and let him hear the kids screaming and tell him"See this is what I am dealing with"...LOL. Totally a mom thing.
AHHH....I hate the days that nothing goes right. It makes you way more thankful for the days that do.
